Revamping the Sunday Recommendations

For more than five years, I’ve been sending out weekly recommendations of art that’s inspiring, thought-provoking, and/or skillfully executed. Ayn Rand described art as emotional fuel. My goal – and my selfish pleasure! – is to help you find more of that fuel and use it more efficiently. During those five years, I’ve sent out 3 free recommendations every week, a total of nearly 900. Financial supporters received an additional recommendation weekly (almost 300 of them) plus other rewards.

As of January 31, 2023, increases in online transaction fees and other expenses are leading to changes in the Sunday Recommendations.

If you’re already a financial supporter: thanks so much for your continued support! You can ignore this post: these changes do not affect you.

If you’re only receiving the three free recommendations, the recommendations I send out on January 29, 2023 will be the last you receive. If you’ve been enjoying the recommendations and want them to keep receiving them, you have several options. (If you want to share with family members who live with you, you need only subscribe once.)

  • $2/month level: 4 recommendations once a month, on the first Sunday, and access to that week’s video of the recommendations. This level must be paid annually, at $24. Transaction fees take up too high a percentage of $2 payments. Exception: current subscribers at this level can continue paying $2/month.
  • $5/month level: 4 recommendations every week, and access to the videos of all the recommendations. Because transaction fees are increasing, I encourage you to make one annual payment rather than 12 monthly ones. That’s why I offer a year at the price of 11 months: $55 rather than $60.
  • $10/month level: 4 recommendations weekly, access to all the videos, plus a high-res image (suitable for printing at 8 x 10 inches) of a sculpture with a related quote. Supporters at $10+/month have access to all the previous high-res images, including the samples below. To encourage annual payments, I offer a year at $10/month for the price of 11 months: $110 rather than $120.
  • $25/month level: rewards as for the $10/month level, plus your name as a supporter on the About page of DianneDuranteWriter.com, and in the acknowledgments of any book published while you’re a supporter. (A list of books in reverse chronological order is here.) If you pay a year in advance, the price is $260 rather than $300.
  • $50 per month: all the above, plus a free signed print copy of any book I publish while you’re a supporter. If you pay a year in advance, the price is $500 rather than $600.

Payments

  • All payments can be made via the blue Leave a Tip button on the Sunday Recommendations page.
  • Supporters paying monthly can cancel at any time. Supporters paying annually can cancel at any time for a pro-rated refund. You can change or cancel your subscription via the Leave a Tip button on the Sunday Recommendations page.
