This week: some of the upstairs rooms, and the harbor-facing facade and gardens.
As I said before, Beauport isn’t filled with labels: just let the images wash over you. In this bedroom, I’m reminded that Sleeper made a habit of positioning glass pieces so that daylight shines through them.
The fish on the headboard and footboard of this bed are charming.
Coolest door ever: the “butterfly door”.
Same room as above. The canopies are designed to fit the sloping ceiling.
What a lovely window!
And finally: some photos of the side of the house facing Gloucester Harbor, and the gardens at the water’s (cliff’s) edge.
I did mention quirky, didn’t I?
