OMG it’s the friggin’ BATMOBILE

From Oct. 9, 2015 through February 21, 2016, the New-York Historical Society ran an exhibition on superheroes of Gotham. I didn’t even realize it was there, which is a nasty thing that happens when you live in 4th gear in a city full of exhibitions.

For some reason, even though the exhibition has closed, a genuine full-size Batmobile from the 1960s Batman TV show is still sitting in the N-YHS main lobby. You (yes, you!) can get into the New-York Historical Society tonight (after 6 p.m.) for whatever fee you feel like paying, and stand. Right. Next. To. The. Batmobile!!!!! Holy jaw-dropping jehosephat, Batman!

A few pics: sorry, taken through the glass, so they’re blurry. I’m only providing them for those of you who can’t make it to the N-YHS because your Batmobile or Batcopter or Batjet is in the shop.

Bat fins, and those whadayacallit pipes that make cars go faster, ya know?
